Folks,
We have a large course planned for the LP Mem. and of course the traditional T-shirts for July 1-2, if you are planning to go and require a larger than XL size, I need to know so I can order a few of those XXL or XXXL.
Also,
There has been some talk about doing a BBQ for sat. evening, but we are not supposed to have open fires on site, so I have a few people looking for parks that are close by that might not be too packed with people. I will post info as it becomes available concerning this. I also have a call into the airport manager to see if he'll allow one or two propane fired BBQ's, but he is out for the week, I should know something middle of next week.

Last year was my first Larry Park Memorial and I'll be back for this year's, no doubt!
BIG course last year, I got deep into 3rd gear in the Z06...just a great feeling to wring it out a little more than a normal autocross, but nothing intimidating in the whole deal...you're just going a little faster
The dinner on Saturday is a good time, also. This is a great event, ya gotta check it out. Oh, and rooms are available at the Super 8 (clean, pool and wi-fi...and that's where most folks stay) for $50/night for a King, $55/night for two beds...just ask for the "Scott Frasier" rate...but, don't ask why it's called the Scott Frasier rate JK, ask for the autocross discount and don't make your reservation online, call them direct.

I don't know how widely distributed this information has been, but the dinner for Saturday night is now going to be a byob (bring your own beef) BBQ on the site at Castle. Jesus is going to arrange for a few propane fueled grills to be available and we can all just throw whatever we want on them and then kick back and enjoy. Rumor has it, adult beverages are ok to have, too...
Sounds like fun

Ok. I'm sold on this one.
Wife just made reservation in Super8 in Merced for Saturday night using autox discount came to $60.50 including taxes.
She's going to come Saturday afternoon (with meat and bev.) so we can have BBQ party. I'll drive Saturday morning (street tire runs in the morning) to the site.

I'll be there Saturday and my Bro will be both days. Just replaced the tires so it should be interesting.

I know everyone swears by the 710's but we are still using the Victor Racers. The first set lasted from about 17 events with two drivers. I guess that's good.
We are still trying to get the suspension dialed-in and since we seem to be spinnng on a regular basis, and they are cheaper, figured I would wait until the driver skill level warrants the fancy rubber.

This should be a really fun event. I spoke with Jesus this morning and the bbq is definitely on for Saturday evening, at the site. Bring your own food and beverages and, also, paper plates or whatever else you need wouldn't be a bad idea.
Weather looks like its going to be a little cooler than it has been, low to mid 90's, rather than 100+...hey, its Atwater and summer, not too bad
