You can expect no less from Doug and the fine folks of the Sacramento Chapter! I was proud to have been a small part of it while active in the sport.

Highlight for me was watching Ken Yeo and Ken Mitchell battle for the CAM-S title at the end of the day.

Both of their cars broke on Saturday. So, they both drove Doug's B-street C4 Corvette in the final run group to decide the title. It was so awesome to watch two masters go after it in the same car at the end of the day Cool

That was a lot of fun running against Kenny Yeo in the same car and I really appreciate Doug letting us do that. It was truly a fun course and event this past weekend. I enjoyed running the Sac Chapter series this year and especially against Kenny Yeo. He was a great competitor. Both Kenny Yeo and I ended up tied for first place for the series.

Another Aluminum rocker arm broke. I am done with aluminum rocker arms. Unfortunately for me, my racing season is done because it will take 6-8 weeks for T&D Machine to build me a complete set of Steel Billet Shaft Rocker Arms for my AFR heads. That means I will more than likely miss the Enduro weekend at Thunder Hill, Damn. Oh well, there will be next year and I hope that Sac Chapter has all their events at Thunder Hill. It is a great autocross venue and a great area to stay and eat.

Do you still have the blue car? It would be cool to see it run again Wink

No, I don't, Brianne and Mike have it. The shocks are 25+ old and there are no tires for it.

If the weather is bitchin that weekend and since I don't want to sit around the house and miss an event especially at Thunder Hill, I may bring out one of my Grocery Getters. I still have my 93 Ruby that I ran in Super Stock back in the 90s after I semi-retired the Camaro. Also, I have a C5 ZO6 and a C6 Grand Sport which both are bone stock and never have been autocrossed. The Michelins on the ZO6 are about 11 years old and the Goodyear run-flats have a treadware rating of 220 so that might be a better choice. I think I might give the Grand Sport a try at the Enduro. Now, I need to decide which class to run in (CAM-S or the appropriate Stock Class) and get whup-on by cars with 200 Treadware tires.

Respectfully, if the Michelins are 11 y.o. then you need to change those puppies out, they are beyond what I would let anyone else drive on my cars. (If it's going into Jay Leno's collection and you need to save the OEM's, just put 'em in the corner.) And since you aren't using the car much it's no loss to put on 200 TW tires since you won't be using them up. Twisted Evil

You'll be driving off the mold release on the way up, they will be fresh'n'ready. It's a win-win!

Paul T. Ford body, Yamaha power - describes my car pretty well, too! Smile Returned to racing the STi-STU but still that #35 you love

Yah, I know. I was just about to buy a set of Michelins but, I broke another rocker arm and decided to scrap the aluminum rockers and go with completr set of the Billet Steel Rockers at the tune of $1800. Since. I don't drive the C5 ZO6 much, the tires will have to wait a couple a more months.
