Hi, new to the forums.

I took my '69 mustang convertible to my first SCCA solo event, ton of fun. I've taken it once to a UFO autocross event just for fun to see how it would perform, it was pretty entertaining to watch from what the spectators told me. (Especially with awful 225/60/15 500 tread wear tires). Something about tire smoke at every corner... Smile

Since then I've put on some 17x8 wheels with 245/40/17 Champiro tires (200 tread wear) along with some other tweaking and have enjoyed the car much more.

A little bit about the car:

1969 convertible mustang
4 speed manual
302 bored to a 306 (dyno'd 350hp at the wheels)
3.55 posi rear
Opentracker front suspension
Global west strut rods
...And other stuff (Won't bore you with the details)

I'm hopefully getting some Ridetech coil overs for the front soon, the current coil springs and garbage shocks aren't the greatest. (Not good for drag racing, ride quality, and especially autocross!)

I don't have much experience with this car in autocross, I'm slowly learning the capabilities of both it and I. My first time was a 52.450 and by the fourth run I was at a 50.250. I'm still having difficulties making the car grip, so I'll be doing some more tuning. I took some Gopro videos of my runs, I'll be sure to upload them.

I met a lot of people at the 2/15 SCCA autocross, hope to see you all at the next SCCA event March 1.

It was great meeting you!! I'm so jealous that she got to go for a spin. Thanks again, she had a ton of fun.

My car will forever feel slow to her now! Lol

I'd love to go to the CAM event at crows landing, but I'll be out of town sadly. I will however, be at the March 1st event. Hope to see you all there.
