i'd stick w/ it; a slower car may be easier to learn on but the free way to make a fast car slower is to back off on the gas pedal =). throttle control is a key skill to learn anyway, esp for rwd.

Thanks guys, would getting a slower car be better to learn in?

A/C kills at 3/4 throttle. I think there's enough torque to do the course in 3rd though.

heh turned out i was too lame to notice a dead shock! i removed the front right and pushed it down; compression seemed fine but rebound sprung up fast w/o any damping no matter where i moved the knob. maybe it died a yr or more ago when i bottomed out on a parking speed bump i didn't see at night, as the knob lost a half turn of adjustment thereafter when something inside apparently broke and it could no longer go softer than that broken position. i wonder how long it hasn't turned left properly =). i haven't checked the other shocks yet but hope to replace all before running marina. thanks ben!

thanks ben, it may be that those turns had the bad bumps; the bumps on 1st hard right really upset the car on a prior run when i took another line. i raced the 4 Koni 5 yrs w/o rebuilding; i heard they're robust but if one's bad maybe i just can't tell =)

From the vid you can see the rear of your car bounce, but more on the right turns, when was the last time they were rebuilt?
