I saw a pic and it was only call for organizers to make. Best wishes to those involved.

First, I was not there, but I know many people that were there...2nd, So it's easy for me to support the organizers decision 100%...OK< So there was an accident and it took 3-4 hours to clean up, by then the event was too late to continue...It's a bad situation and could have happened to anyone and any other organization. Yes it sucks that many people came a long way, but there is no way to plan for an accident...If you know anyone that was there, call them if you want to know what happened. It will not be discussed on any public forum for many not so obvious reasons...

Well stated!

Maybe a wake-up call to course designers to never have a car at full throttle (stuck or not) aimed at anything, or anyone.

Jim, It definitely was not the course designer's fault. It was a very safe course. The course you described above would be a drag strip with nothing at the end.

Thanks, Dan

Jim,

That is always taken into consideration when safety approving a course.

Also keep in mind, there is no place at Marina or any other small paddock that is not pointing at something.

Jim, you havent been to an event and seen how courses are made. Accident happens, stop trying to find blame.

Jim has autocrossed for many years probably way before your diaper days and if my memory serves me right, he has chaired events and designed courses.

The car was teched properly, the course was safe, volunteers did thier job. There really is nothing more to say. No more knee-jerk suggestions, please.
