I see the Twins have been moved to DS after pretty much dominating CS. The only reason I mention it as I have a 2011 BMW 328i which has been moved to DS from FS. I've only AX'd the BMW once or twice since I bought it but was thinking that it would be more comfortable driving all the way to Stockton from my place. So when I saw the potential move to DS I thought this would be good as my car might be more competitive. After all the negative comments in Fastrack News regarding moving the Twins to DS, I am surprised to see it happen. Can anyone splain the logics of this decision?

It didn't dominate CS. CS is dominated by ND MX5

Justin pretty much said it. Being a popular car, SCCA needed to put it in a class where it could be competitive.

I guess the next question is why was my non-competitive FS BMW 328i moved into the same class as the Twins?

Because in some local regions it might have a chance? At least in DS it's not totally buried like it is in FS.

Personal opinion is that DS will be dominated by the eco cars so it really doesn't matter.

welcome to SCCA - don't get too attached to your cars.

That's not just an SCCA thing. It's any form of racing unless spec.
