There's no good public places on the peninsula huh? I still bird hunt but I make my trips into the valley to do so. I see a lot of birds where my horse is too.

For shotgun fun, go to Coyote Valley Sporting clays in Morgan Hill

www.coyoteclays.com

I've been a member for 10+ years.

sporting clays is best described as golf with a shotgun. Each stand presents different targets.

I had no idea that was there. Thanks for sharing. I go shooting sporting clays with my buddy who is a pro MLB player, but its a big money private club, not something I could afford on my own. Sporting clays is stupid amounts of fun, if I could just figure out the rabbit stages I might be good at it too Smile

When shooting at sporting clay "rabbits" always shoot low.
That way either the shotgun pellets or the flying dirt can break the target.

I would be fun to have a A-Xer day at Coyote. Cost would be about the same as running autocross, for 50 targets.

That would be fun, if we could get a few more people in on it? I just got a new Weatherby PA08 that I would like to test out.
