Sad

Sad, but true. We may have our pick of dates, soon.

The best hope for getting the dates set sooner for the Slush Series is for the A's to lose the single wildcard game playoff. The Mariners don't seem to be able to take advantage of the A's losses to gain one of the wildcard spot.

It came down to the last game and unfortunately the A's beat the Rangers to avoid a single game playoff on Monday against the Mariners in Seattle. Now our only hope for a quick resolutions of dates for Slush Series is for the A's to lose to KC on Tuesday. If they win on Tuesday it could drag on for weeks.

The A's lose to the Royals in 12 innings. The final score 9 to 8. Now it should be possible to get the Slush dates set.

And just how do you think Lester blew the game?

While I would agree it isn't necessarily Lester's fault the A's lost, I also agree with Philip that Bochy never lets Lester pitch the rest of the 8th. Lester had around 100 pitches going into the inning, after the first hitter reached with a single Bochy would have pulled him, assuming he even let him start the 8th. Hell, Bochy didn't even want Madison to pitch the 9th last night, even though he had been virtually untouchable all night.

Lester may not have given up the hit/wild pitch that scored the runs in the 8th, but he certainly set the table Wink Tough loss for sure, I was hoping the A's would pull that one out.
