overall the event was good

fast wide open course, different style apex cones then im use to but pretty fun still

sorry I know I bitch a lot but I was bit annoyed by some of the "officials", or I assumed they were, out there

but whats up with all the yelling and overall crappy attitude out there today?

I was given some smart remarks before/during our work group and then we were YELLED at and talked down to on some runs because we were going too "fast" past the finishing lights? I get it screeching tires scare you, but why was the finish positioned where it was... just saying

but to end on a good note, there was nice a breeze ...

The tent and timing table were way too close to the finish IMO.

There are tons of space at this site, why put the timing lights where cars are going at speed and have to turn and brake at the same time... Some drivers were yelled at because they came through the lights at speed and waited for the car to settle before hitting the brakes (they slowed down safely well before the time slip). While corvette drivers plowed through the same area were not spoken to at all... I guess getting hit by a corvette is safer since the front end is lower.

Station 4 was placed in an area which was head on to cars coming at speed. Also note station 5 chilling in the vid.

I thought i was the only one getting yelled at for powering through the fininsh.

Yeah. Fun and longest course i've ever done, and 5 runs! And got to see 458 Italia. We all wanted to drive that car and show him how it was done.
But did not appreciate people talking down to you. If i wanted that i'd just drive around with my wife Wink. Just kidding wife!!

If an event is unsafe, I go home. If a group is mean, I never go back. I didn't leave early at this one, and I will be back, Dave

I thought it was an excellent event. The Vette club members were very friendly and accommodating and it was smoothly run. I do agree about the finish, but live and learn.

I saw one Corvette spinning at the finish so I'm sure they learned.
