Where's the like button on this darn thing? Laughing

While I may not make it out too much this year, I still pay attention...'cause I'll be back. I like the thinking behind the 2/4 split, very much. Getting creative and will likely result in a better experience. The new website and the "blog" updates also work for me.

Good stuff Smile

Way to go Isaac Thumb Up We just decided this last night.
We figure that lots more of you pre reging will help with the flow and having 2 run groups in the morning will get us closer to starting the afternoon groups by 1:00 and make on the fly change overs in the afternoon work a lot better.

You can try to make a street car into an autocrosser or you can do a lot less work to make a race car into a great autocrosser.

To note : one KEY thing in making the 2-4 format work is that we NEED folks to be pre-reg'ed as much as possible. You can't start morning rungroups with this setup until EVERYONE running in the morning is checked in/registered. The Check-in/reg process goes MUCH faster for pre-reg'ed folks Wink

We think/hope that $10 worth of financial incentive to do so will strongly encourage pre-reg to happen. Let's work on making sure that is the case Smile

I'm with you, Ed... However, I still have concerns that $10 bucks will do the job, given the number of folks who are willing to pay for multiple 'weekend' memberships while resisting Full memberships...
We can only hope...

It may be a wake up when those people see their cost go from $50 to $65 an event.

We won't get 100% pre reg, but enough to make a big difference, IMHO. We had 90+ at our 2nd pre reg event.

So, how does this work with starting the afternoon runs no earlier than 1:00? If we run RG1 from 9-10 and RG2 from 10-11, do we do the course walk at 11, then wait around? I think you need to be very specific about how this will work, otherwise people will expect RG3-6 all in the afternoon. Or, if you just keep going you'll get people showing up at 11:45 to beat the reg deadline and finding out that RG3, an "afternoon" group is already running and almost over.

Plenty of time to enjoy lunch and walk the course. If people will take some responsibility for their lives and check the website, or forums like this, how can they NOT be informed? Hand-holding should stop by age 5.
