OK, here's my first try at rungroups for 3/16/14 and the new class structure, if you see something I missed, let me know, we'll have plenty of time to adjust before the May events if it does not work out.

Group 1: Street1(SStreet,AStreet,FStreet), Street2(BStreet,CStreet,EStreet), Street3(DStreet,GStreet,HStreet), SSR, Stock-R(all SR except SSR), Street Ladies-all

For class lettering, the Street classes (i.e. AStreet, BStreet, GStreet etc) are using AS, BS, GS, etc. The "Stock" (2013 Stock Rules) are using ASR, BSR, GSR, etc.

Group 2: CSP, ESP, SM(SM+SSM+SMF), Street Prep 1, Street Prep 2, Street Prep Ladies

Group 3: BP, CP, Prep 1, Prep Ladies, BSPV, BSPV Ladies, Modified(all) Modified Ladies(all)

Group 4: Street Tire Novice(all classes-stock-Street Prep-Prep),Street Tire Novice Ladies, Street Tire Street Prep-Prep, Street Tour-all, CAM, O street prep

You can try to make a street car into an autocrosser or you can do a lot less work to make a race car into a great autocrosser.

Always!!, however with 5 runs it does not matter as much as 30 years ago when you only got 2 runs, or NCSCC that only gave one run Shocked Shocked

Under the NorCal Council we received a single run but it was three (3) laps of the course with the first lap being practice and the last two being timed. I believe that is standard practice for various oval track racing organizations across the U.S. for qualifying on race day/night.

You two are not the only ones that can remember how things were. In addition to the format of events in the 1960s I remember that it was also possible to run multiple events in a single day. As an example on Easter weekend in 1968 I ran an event on Saturday night in San Jose, a Sunday morning event at the same site, a second Sunday event at Pleasanton, and finished the day with a third event at Napa. At that time times were posted during the event and trophies were handed out at the end of the day.
