I looked around a little bit but can't really find what the acronyms mean for the events. Can someone point me in the right direction? Do I need to do anything to attend an event or do I just show up and register?

That will be fun. Didn't mean to imply anything, for sure. We'll see who comes out on top this time... Smile

Do you mean acronyms like "STX"? STX = Street Touring Xtreme. It's in the SCCA Solo rule book, which is found on SCCA's website (SCCA.com). The 2014 rule book is still in draft form, but the acutal rules in it are correct. There's nothing you need to do to attend. If you're not an SCCA member you will need to purchase a weekend membership at the event when you show up to register. It's $15 for the weekend membership and $35 to participate, cash or check only. If you don't have a SNELL 2000 or newer helmet, we'll have some loaner helmets available.

Thank you.Do you guys ever get any small suv out there? My girl drives a GLK350 4matic. We're thinking about bringing out.

Here's the height/width chart from the rule book. If the suv fits within the acceptable range, then it can run.

Yup that's one of them thanks. Also the scca and the other one that is the header for the Alameda events . I'll definitely check out that site. Thank you . I used my motorcycle helmet last time I hope that is good enough. Xtreme sounds like pro's! Can I run With Fellow noobs? Lol it's okay though I would just be out there to have fun. I know I have no chance of getting the best time. My car is awesome but not that awesome lol. Now I just gotta remember to bring cash.

Use a tape measure to measure from the ground to the highest point on the vehicle and measure to the center of each tire side to side

I found this link. http://www.carsdimensions.com/mercedes-glk-dimensions/

The dimensions given are 1597mm (62.87in) track front, 1574mm (61.96in) track rear, avg track is 62.41in and 1669mm (65.70in) height. The GLK is within the acceptable dimensions by a fair margin.

I won't hurt to double check though.
